Photographs were taken with an amateur Polaroid camera. All these images could have been shot anywhere and anytime –they have no birthplace or birth time- still, they are filled with a strong sense of familiarity.
“In the end, the subject itself is of little importance since these personal glances seem to contain none other story than the ones the viewer chooses. Therefore the answer to the enigma could lie in the personality of the photographer as an echo of the soul. To capture a chance instant and make it both significant and memorable: that is what Chryssa Nikoleris has undertaken to do, as if describing silence without a word spoken”
